He was instated into the Provincial Sindh press of Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and was made Provincial Minister of Sindh for information and libraries. In a press reshuffle in July 2015, he was made Provincial Minister of Sindh for original bodies with the fresh portfolio of libraries and workshop and services.
In December 2015, he was removed from the parochial press while he was outside Pakistan. He was arrested by the public Responsibility Bureau on corruption charges in October 2017, . He was criminated in the corruption case in February 2018.
