When anyone bright the name of Pakistan somewhere. Someone wears a Pakistani flag or medal on their chest. That is because he belongs to Pakistan. It is a great honor for us, it is a matter of great happiness for us. We proudly say that he belong to our brothers from Pakistan.
Haider Ali, a Pakistani para-athlete, made history in Tokyo. Becoming the first Pakistani to win a gold medal at the Paralympics.
Haider competed in the men’s F37 discus throw. He won the award in his fifth attempt with a throw of 55.26 meters, which is also the best. Haider had earlier thrown 47.84 in his third attempt. Mykola Zhabnyak of Ukraine won the silver medal with a throw of 52.43. Brazil’s Java Victor won the bronze medal.
Haider won a silver medal at the Beijing Paralympics and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. This is his third medal at the Gold Paralympics in Tokyo, and the country’s first gold medal in sports.
The athlete received congratulations after winning the first gold medal for his country. “Congratulations to Haider Ali on winning the first gold medal for Pakistan at the Paralympics,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said. He won a medal in the 55.26m discus throw which made the whole of Pakistan proud.
This flag is our identity and a better thing to be proud of which now makes the heart feel that we are no less than from anyone. We fulfill what we talk about everywhere. That Pakistan is no less than anyone. It is a beautiful feeling that the name of the country has become bright because of me and the nation has risen because of me. The whole world has seen that the resources are limited. We have the conditions, but at the same time we have proved once again that we have the talent.
