Pakistan will host the World Tourism Forum next year to unlock the potential of tourism worldwide, especially in D-8 Block countries (8 under development). At a press conference in Islamabad on Sunday, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, an adviser to the Prime Minister of Tourism and Pakistanis abroad, said that tourism ministers from all D-8 member countries, including Turkey, should also attend the forum in Islamabad.

Delay due to corona virus

The incident was scheduled for this year, but was delayed until next year due to coronavirus outbreaks. More than a thousand foreign visitors will attend the five-day event.

“Pakistan has enormous potential for tourism that we would like to present to the planet, especially the Muslim world,” said Bukhari. “The World Tourism Forum is an organization based in Istanbul, Turkey, dedicated to promoting tourism worldwide with its annual meetings Tourism industry in Pakistan feels crown fever.

5 year plan

Pakistan had developed a five-year action plan to promote its tourism in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks in the United States, which had been severely affected by years of terrorism in the country. Islamabad would launch an e-tourism portal later this year to better attract foreign and local tourists. With snowy peaks in the north and crystal clear waters in the south, countless opportunities to see wildlife, strong rivers in the Indus River, and deep-sea divers in the Arabian Sea, Pakistan is a great company to attract tourists.

The northern Gilgit-Baltistan area, which borders neighboring China, is home to six 8,000-meter (26,246-foot) long peaks, including the second-highest peak in the world, K2. The region also has more than 5,000 large and small glaciers and more than 100 lakes, which together are the largest freshwater reservoirs in the world. In addition to the 300 endangered wildlife species, you can also spot endangered snow leopards and brown bears.

Tourism belief

Pakistan is located in a region that for centuries has hosted three of the world’s major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism.

The Muslim state of South Asia houses a series of devotional shrines, dating back 5,000 years, not only for followers of all three religions, but also some ancient traditions such as the Aryan religion, Brahmanism, and the ancient Iranian and Greek religions. too

Once a boy fond of terrorism and suicide bombings, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Northwest has 70 sites in the country with Sikh and Buddhist followers.

The country’s most populous province, Punjab, and the southern province of Sindh also host several sites related to all three religions.

Pakistan should focus on Urban Tourism

Once known as the heart of the Gandhara, Takhtbai, or Takht Bhai civilization (starting with Takht), a beautiful little sight located 160 km (99 miles) from Islamabad. It is one of the most visited places in Buddhism, with an old monastery dating from the first century.

There are five major pilgrimage sites for Sikhs in northeast Punjab. These include the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion, who was born in the Nankana Sahib district in 1469, and the Gurdwara (monastery) Panja Sahib in the city of Hassan Abdal, where the footprints of Guru Nanak’s hands. Impress a stone in a monastery.

Thousands of Sikhs from neighboring India, Europe and the United States visit these two places each year.

The Katas Raj Temple in the Northeast Chakwal District and the Sadhu Bela Temple in the South Sukkur District are the two most visited Hindu religious sites in the world.

Discussion of president PTDC

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and PTDC President Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari announced on Monday that the World Tourism Forum 2021 would be held in Pakistan.

Confirming the development during a program on a private television news channel, the Prime Minister said that more than a thousand foreign visitors would attend the five-day program in Pakistan in 2021. “The World Tourism Forum will have three days for the conference and two days for tourism, “he added.

The incident was scheduled for this year, but was delayed until next year due to coronavirus outbreaks.

Zulfi Bukhari also announced that more than 32 three and five-star hotels would be built in Pakistan in the next two years. He said the government would renovate the buildings and motels of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) across the country to promote tourism.

The PM’s aide also announced to build 32 hotels across the country in a time-span of two years. He added that the government would also renovate the motels and buildings of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in a bid to promote tourism. He clarified the PTDC operations were closed due to a restructuring plan.

According to the aide, the changes are being made to bring the corporation at par with the global organisations, in accordance with the global best practices.

Earlier, it was reported that the PTDC had shut all of its motels in the north, in what was described as a major loss of the tourism sector, damaging the economy.

What is the World Tourism Forum?

The World Tourism Forum is a corporation based in Istanbul, Turkey, dedicated to developing tourism worldwide with its annual meetings. Previously scheduled for 2020, the five-day-event will now be held in 2021, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Pakistan Tourism Industry is going to boost with “Religious Tourism”

For centuries, Pakistan has been home to three major world faiths – Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism. The young nation hosts revered pilgrimage sites and remains of prehistoric traditions of the Aryan religion, Brahman religion, and ancient Iranian and Greek religions.

70% of sacred Sikh and Buddhist sites, like ancient monasteries and Takht-i-Bhai (a small scenic town), are situated in NWFP. Punjab houses five most important Sikh pilgrimage sites that include the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak Gurdwara and The Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib (monastery), which attract over thousands of Sikhs annually. Hindus are attracted to Pakistan because of the Katas Raj temple in Chakwal and the Sadhu Bela temple in Sukkur.

In all its entirety, Pakistan has a lot to offer in terms of scenic beauty, heartwarming hospitality, and tourism. The forum will help the country market itself, learn, and gain many opportunities. History indicates otherwise, but hopefully, things will start to look up for the tourism of the developing state after the World Tourism Forum.
