Pakistan’s Pride – Weightlifter Talha Talib

Early Life & Education

There is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. Yes, it has been proved by a weightlifter Talha Talib. He was born on October 3, 1999, in Gujranwala. He passed his matriculation from the Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School. He studies computer science at Superior College Gujranwala. He started training at eight. His father Muhammad Aslam Natiq coaches him as he was a national weightlifting coach for Pakistan. Muhammad Rashid & Ali Aslam are the coaches of Talha Talib.

Career

Pakistan has got a new diamond. The Nation has cut a new diamond. He is the one who left to win the medal only by the difference of 2kg but we are not sad about it, Pakistan proud of him, our hero who took Pakistan from the floor to the throne. He could not win the medal but he has made a home in the hearts of the nation. He has won the hearts of the nation. People were pushing down on him. No one had supported him, but in today’s world, he has made Pakistan famous & restored the dignity of Pakistan. He has won international competitions for the past five years. The dream of his father was his dream.

His Great Enthusiasm

If you tell someone he has trained in a self-made club, has done weightlifting, and has gained access to Olympics by his hard work and to what extent, then no matter how many rewards there are in the Olympics, if they are put in his swing, they are too few. He has done better than his ability.

Today this boy took Pakistan up to 67 kg, & he belongs to a very poor and backward area with no facilities and never someone helped him. Today, 29 years later, a 21-year-old boy from Gujranwala took Pakistan to the Olympics, and then the people he competed with were trained by an international level of experts. But this man sat at home and did all the weightlifting pieces of training in his way. He knows very well that his competition is with the best players in the world & he is ready for that.

You will not find an example of this in history. Pakistan Sports Board did not help him nor did Pakistan Weightlifting Federation help to train him. In an interview his statement was:

“I do my practice in an open area it is hard to work in rain, winter, and summer. Under these circumstances, I trained and won a medal for Pakistan in the South Asian Games medal now I’m the best player in South Asia. I asked the principal of the school where I studied to allow me to train here and I continued to train on the school grounds. I used to do training before school opened or after school closed. I am happy that I am working hard and training myself in these conditions and participating in the Olympics. 2 months ago my performance in the first Asian Champions was great were the best weightlifters in the world I competed with then I was selected for the Olympics. I had no standard equipment for that but now Punjab sports board has announced to support me & to give me much equipment.”

His Father Statement

“Consider the fifth position as a gold medal for Pakistan. Of course, this is not a gold medal but how he has trained is precious. A few hours ago Pakistani athletes who went there were being criticized that we are going to participate in the Olympics. Now, a few days ago, we have been provided space by the Punjab Sports Board and have been provided with international equipment. Complete facilities have been provided. The government will have to take responsibility for this.”
