Profile & Biography of Alamgir Khan
Alamgir Khan is a social worker. He is the founder and campaigner of #FixIt, which has become one of the most popular campaigns nowadays. Alamgir is a resident of Karachi. He is 26 years old. He was born on 9th November 1990, in Karachi, and got his early education from Shaheen Public School. After completing his matric from the same school, he got admission in Bahria College MK khan road campus and completed his Intermediate from there in 2008. He got admission to Szabist after his intermediate, where he had completed the initial 2 years of BBA from there. After BBA, he took admission to Iqra University.
After completing his BBA from Iqra University, he moved to Islamabad where he got admission to Iqra University Islamabad, from where he had completed his MBA. During his studies, Alamgir participates in student politics. He had been in different positions of the Insaf Students Federation, including President of Sindh.
In 2016, Alamgir Khan started a campaign with the name #FixIt in Karachi, against Sindh Government. He painted the pictures of Qaim Ali Shah on the open main holes and drains in the city. The first demand of the campaign was to fix all the open drains but he finally fixes some open drains by himself. After this, he had also decided to start a campaign against garbage piles in the whole city and arrested while dumping this in front of CM House.
While doing his Master of Business Administration degree from Iqra University, Alamgir started a campaign in January 2016. In his campaign, he started to spray-paint the portrait of the Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah alongside uncovered sewer holes and garbage dumps in different parts of Karachi. The campaign called Fix-It achieved wide coverage.
On February 25, 2016, police arrested him after he tried to clear the rubbish bin outside the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi.
The next day, He was released on bail. In March 2016, a city court in Karachi indicted him during a case of wrongful restraint.
He was also arrested in June 2019 after a clash between Fixit volunteers and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activists in Teen Talwar.

Alamgir Khan is a Pakistani activist and politician. He remained a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since October 2018. A good thing in Alamgir is that he goes out to check the problems. Even during a photo session, he stays in touch with the people of his area. It would be better for all society if the MNAs of each area work for the people instead of sitting at home in their spare time. That’s why half the problems will be solved.
In August 2018, he was allotted a ticket of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to contest the by-election from NA-243 (Karachi East II).
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of PTI from Constituency NA-243 (Karachi East-II) in the by-election held on 14 October 2018.
